This Leno Drive video clip simply features a massive motor and better brakes into an old muscle car is a semi-decent formula that brings classic back to life, with something about a completely detail-oriented retro-mod build that really gets the blood flowing. And it’s hard to find a better example of that sort of breed than the flawlessly fixed-up ’69 Camaro seen here in the most recent Jay Leno’s Garage video.

In this 26-minute video-clip, Leno walks around and drives an awesome 1969 Chevrolet Camaro G-Code, custom-built by Jim and Mike Ring of the Ring Brothers custom car shop. The very same car that won the “Best Chevy” award at SEMA, and did so comfortably and with a good reason. Attention to detail now appears to have been the name of the game when these brothers were putting this thing together. And if that weren’t enough to make the car as cool as ice, the builders claim the car’s supercharged 6.2-liter LS3 V-8 engine which is good for almost 1,000 horsepower

Early on in this video-clip, Leno expressly showed how happy and pleased he was with the fact that it’s still obvious the car is actually a 1969 Camaro. “I hate it when a car has changed so much I can’t even tell what it was originally,” he said. “I love the fact that you kept the integrity of it” in his words.

In conclusion, it features modern bits and pieces that goes deep within, but is from the outside, there are clear signs that it’s a classic Camaro…that took more than 5,000 hours to rebuild and perfect. The end result is one hell of a muscle car that leaves us jealous of both Leno and whomever this awesome car owner is.
