Lagos State university [LASU] uploads a scam alert in its website to warn candidates

We have gathered information about the Lagos State University, LASU, 2016/2017 admission primary list. The school confirmed that its 2016/2017 primary admission list will be released very soon, as it is currently under compilation by the Joint Admission And Matriculation Board (JAMB).

The present acting Head of Lagos State University, “LASU” Center for Information, Press and Public Relations, Adekoya Martins, approved that the list will be out in no long time, in his statement with the news agency of Nigeria on Monday.

“The number of students to be offered admission on this up-coming primary list can not be ascertained by the university because it is in the hand of JAMB, as they are the ones currently handling the admission list” said by Mr.Adekoya Martins.

The university have send out the list of the first batch of students that were successful in the screening to the Joint Admission And Matriculation Board, JAMB, for their approval and endorsement. Mr.Martins continued.

We got an anonymous tip that the 2016/2017 admission list is due to be out this week, as JAMB had finished compiling the list and will upload it before this week run’s out. However, number of admitted students remains classified.

“We cannot actually determine the number of students that JAMB will approve for us in the first batch from the list that was ‎sent to the board by the university,” Mr.Martins said.

Further more, him added, that the screening form for the second list will be out as immediately JAMB uploads the primary list.

He also said that it is only the candidates that choose the university ‎as second choice that will be able to purchase the form.

Mr. Martins also brought the supplementary list to our notice. He said that a supplementary list will follow the second list. Immediately the primary list is out, a second list follows, then the supplementary list.

‎LASU adopted the online screening method of admission for candidates, in this 2016/2017 academic session.

The Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University, LASU, Olanrewaju Fagbohun, said that it is only the candidates that chose LASU that would be privileged to online screening.

“An online application portal had already been designed for the candidates to upload their results, certificates and other relevant data”
said by Mr. Fagbohun, the school’s professor.‎

“The university will go online and shortlist the credentials of successful candidates, who chose LASU as their first choice for onward transmission to JAMB,’’ he added.
